Kids · Plus plans
For over 6 years Dra. Carla was a regular teacher at leading bilingual schools — Maple Bear and Escola Americana — where project-based learning (PBL) and whole-child education are part of daily life. Each workshop starts from a concrete, hands-on project and ends with something the child has made, so Portuguese is lived as a tool for creating, not studied in isolation.
Children practise vocabulary, structure, and speaking naturally as they follow instructions, name materials, describe steps, and share what they built.
🎨
Arts & hands-on
Origami, ceramics, painting, paper folding, collage, bookmaking, and other handcrafts.
🎉
Culture & traditions
Festa Junina, Carnaval, Brazilian cooking, music, legends, folklore, and commemorative dates.
📖
Language & imagination
Storytelling, theater, puppets, games, Book Club, and oral-expression activities.
A project with a finished product
Every workshop ends with something complete — language is the means to get there, which gives purpose and motivation.
Hands-on
Learning by doing: the body and the materials anchor vocabulary in memory for the long term.
Rhythm and individuality
Inspired by Waldorf pedagogy, each session respects the child's own pace and values their strengths.
Living culture
Brazilian festivals, books, films, and traditions enter as real-life context for using the language.
