"I needed CELPE-Bras to validate my degree in Brazil and I'd already failed once on my own. Carla knew the exam inside out — the writing tasks, the oral, exactly where I was losing points. I passed at the level I needed the second time. I honestly don't think I would have without her."

"Carla loves Portuguese and can explain grammar even to someone whose native language has nothing in common with it. Thanks to her, nothing on the exam surprised me and I reached the C1 level. I recommend her 100%."

Pricing
Every monthly plan includes 4 classes, a dedicated Google Classroom, a summary PDF after each session, a weekly Brazilian video or song assignment, and one cultural class or Book Club session per month. A single drop-in class includes the 60-minute class only — none of the extras.
The $25 drop-in rate is the pay-as-you-go option for those not ready to commit monthly. The monthly plans reward commitment: the group plan works out to $19/class and the 1:1 plan to $22/class. The savings — and the full system — come with the package.
A class credit is one prepaid class slot. Monthly plans include 4 credits (one per week). Credits do not expire — if you need to skip a week, unused credits carry over indefinitely. Rescheduling with 24 hours' notice has no penalty.
Yes. Cancel ongoing classes with 15 calendar days' notice by email. Any amount already paid for that month is refunded, minus classes already taken. No lock-in.
No. What you see is what Dra. Carla charges. No coupon codes, no seasonal promotions, and no prices that change without notice. Your first 30-minute class is free so you can experience how Carla teaches before choosing a paid plan.

Kids · Project-based learning
For over 6 years Dra. Carla was a regular teacher at leading bilingual schools — Maple Bear and Escola Americana — where project-based learning (PBL) and whole-child education are part of daily life. Each workshop starts from a concrete, hands-on project and ends with something the child has made, so Portuguese is lived as a tool for creating, not studied in isolation.
Children practise vocabulary, structure, and speaking naturally as they follow instructions, name materials, describe steps, and share what they built.
🎨
Arts & hands-on
Origami, ceramics, painting, paper folding, collage, bookmaking, and other handcrafts.
🎉
Culture & traditions
Festa Junina, Carnaval, Brazilian cooking, music, legends, folklore, and commemorative dates.
📖
Language & imagination
Storytelling, theater, puppets, games, Book Club, and oral-expression activities.
A project with a finished product
Every workshop ends with something complete — language is the means to get there, which gives purpose and motivation.
Hands-on
Learning by doing: the body and the materials anchor vocabulary in memory for the long term.
Rhythm and individuality
Inspired by Waldorf pedagogy, each session respects the child's own pace and values their strengths.
Living culture
Brazilian festivals, books, films, and traditions enter as real-life context for using the language.
Schedules are referenced to Brasília time (UTC−3). Prices in USD, valid for 2026. The class grid is a suggestion and may be adjusted based on group formation and students' time zones. Taught by a teacher with a doctorate and over 12 years of experience, including 6+ years as a regular teacher at bilingual schools (Maple Bear and Escola Americana).
